Challenge

The Migraine Trust approached us on the back of our award winning work for the Meningitis Research Foundation. We were tasked with creating a new, engaging and more usable website that not only looked the part but resulted in increased traffic and ultimately more donations.

Solution

The main website has been completely restructured with SEO in mind, and given a fresh new look. The site is now much easier to navigate, and the CMS provides a platform for the charity to maintain the site in the future. The site is built using modern techniques and contains an innovative 'dimmer switch' that lets users reduce the glare from the website (this done using a CSS style sheet switcher). Strong call to actions are present throughout, encouraging visitors to support the charity, and get involved in events and fundraising initiatives.

To coincide with the website, we also presented the idea of creating a brand new, innovative service; an online migraine diary tool. After thorough research online it was clear that there was a gap in the market for this sort of application, and a great opportunity to really help sufferers. The diary allows users to log information relating to their migraines over time, and provides detailed analysis through graphs and statistics, making it a great resource for sufferers to take to their doctor’s appointments which in turn helped these clinicians with their diagnosis and patient treatment plans.

Results

The client has received extremely positive feedback from its users. The diary application has seen a large amount of users sign up and has gained great reviews from sufferers. The tool itself is simple to use and will hopefully provide an insight into people's migraines for years to come. The site has already received commendation both in the digital trade press (nma) and well as from celebrity medical professionals such as Dr. Miriam Stoppard.
