Soreen - Event Microsite and Email campaign
Challenge
Working in conjunction with Savvy Marketing, fuse8 were tasked with developing a micro-site, with a distinct new look, for the legendary fruity malt loaf Soreen. The micro-site was required to support Soreen’s ‘Squidgy Energy’ world record-breaking attempt, where cyclists using 50 state-of-the-art kilowatt bikes were challenged to attempt to generate more than 12,953 watt hours in a 24 hour period.
Solution
The site was created to allow those wanting to participate to be able to register for the event in allocated time slots and then confirm their requirements. The site features feeds from Twitter and Facebook, a downloadable dekstop widget and the capability to add a live video stream during the actual event itself.
The site has been developed to feature three distinct stages, before the event, during the event and after the event and was built with full Content Management System capabilities so that the content and management information could be accessed by all parties involved.
Results
fuse8 delivered the event micosite within the tight timescales to meet the creative and commercial requirements of the brief. The event was a huge success and many, many people became world record holders as the collective team literally smashed the previous record - Well done to all involved, proof that 'squidgy power' really works!
