Challenge
fuse8 had successfully delivered a brand new technology platform and web site for Persimmon Group’s premium brand, Charles Church. With an upturn in the housing market beginning to show signs of strength, Persimmon then tasked the agency to continue their work in delivering something new and fresh for the main – and much more critical – Persimmon Homes website.
Solution
fuse8 wanted to bring to life Persimmon’s brand promise of ‘Together, we make a home’ by focusing on the different life triggers that lead to buying a new home and how the company could work hand-in-hand with a customer to make the house-buying process pain-free. This included commissioning of specific ‘buying guides’ for four main customer areas, as well as enhancing the functionality that allowed these audiences to search and find exactly the right property and the right deal to suit their life needs.
The new design style broke away from what Persimmon’s competitors employ and positioned the brand as more attuned to style and design of new homes and the personality people want to add to make their own mark.
Results
The new site went live in September 2010 and by employing a ‘bottom up’ focus on the importance of SEO in the build it instantly delivered the success in site traffic, interaction and most importantly footfall to developments that is critical in this sector. In creating the initial technical platform for the Charles Church brand, fuse8 were able to deliver a product of extraordinary scale in an incredibly short amount of time with absolutely no compromise on either the brand or the business aims.
