Loved By You approached fuse8 to develop a brand, identity and an effective and usable website. The client had access to a few ranges of beauty products and wanted a powerful channel on the web that utilised SEO to successfully deliver results whilst the majority of spend went into the development of the website and extension of the product ranges.

Objectives

Strategy implementation

  • We undertook market research including competitor analysis to determine best practice and to inform the brand design process
  • The information architecture - including usability and site structure - was developed to ensure a simple and clear structure that would provide the potential for a search engine optimised site.
  • An expanded requirements document then allowed the creation of the brand and website design. The client was helped with product uploading and copywriting to ensure the content reflected the overall lifestyle brand.

Results

  • The site has exceed first year projections for gross sales
  • First six month sales (October to March) increased on average month by month by 95%
  • Total customers, up to June 30, now stand at 1,963 with many now making regular purchases.
  • Creation of a strong multi-channel brand
  • Traffic increased to 3,000 per month (June 2009)
  • High basket to purchase conversion rate of 8%
  • Highly usable site ensuring many pages can be browsed easily, clear shopping basket, and checkout process.
  • Customer-centric contact strategy allowing customers to be tracked across purchases, monthly newsletter contact and a 5% pay back loyalty scheme.
  • The site allows users to start buying straight away, even on the home page.
  • The site appears on the home page of Google for 16 out of 36 brands it sells which is very high for new site. Performance continues to improve.
  • First year annual sales will exceed target and stocked brands have increased by 50% from 22 to 36.
  • Traffic increased in the first four months to the second four months by 135%. Page views are also up 77%.

Keyword traffic, excluding words including the company name, stands at 7,493 keywords showing that all pages and content attracts traffic.
