Challenge

BaByliss came to fuse8 in a bit of a dilemma with the Digital offering for their professional arm of the company - BaByliss Pro. Despite having an abundance of content and some good intentions, fuse8 identified a key problem when playing around with their site - it was hard to find all that good content, and incredibly easy to get lost in.

fuse8 also delivered a complete overhaul and re-design on BaByliss’ existing site. fuse8 created an official online presence for the brand which would act as a hub for BaByliss’s core range of hair and beauty products.

Insight

With a clear focus on refined Information Architecture, we knew that a clean and clear approach to how information was displayed would be beneficial to both BaByliss and it’s customers.

Work

For the official BaByliss site, fuse8 delivered a consistent user experience with cleaner design, refined information architecture and a clear display of content. This ensured that the new site kept inline with BaByliss’s appeal to a stylish, professional audience. Being built in HTML meant that fuse8 could regularly update the site when new products were added to the BaByliss range.

fuse8’s primary focus for the BaByliss Pro site was ensuring that the information architecture was absolutely perfect. The previous BaByliss website was incredibly busy, so fuse8 stripped back the areas on the new site to a Product Showcase area, Demos and Tips, News along with a user-generated-content section.

With the notion of 'simplifying' in mind, fuse8 designed a clean, structured interface to compliment the approach. Another crucial factor of the site's success, was putting in place clear navigation to ensure a structured user journey which guided the consumer to relevant content on the site.

Result

Always only one click away from the information they required, the site delivered a structured user experience and a clear, engaging portal for BaByliss to sell their products.

The BaByliss Pro site was no different, and BaByliss are really happy with the result. Not only that, but after a few months surrounded by styling products, the guys from fuse8’s London office have noticed their colleagues scrubbing up their style, too.
