The launch of Leeds Digital Week
Last night at The Loft in Leeds, the great and the good gathered for the official launch of Leeds Digital Week, a springboard for one of the city's most vibrant and successful sectors.
An auction ensured lots of fun was had by all, with chocolate coins being used as bidding currency! Winning bids started at eleven chocolate coins for an expert session about mobile marketing, rising to an eye-popping 200 gold coins for some time in an eye-tracking studio – a prize I’m glad to say was won by a consortium between fuse8 and Numiko.
The skills auction also saw the fuse8 digital team rise to the top of the crop, with a two hour expert SEO consultation we donated being won by Linda Broughton, head of nti in Leeds. An array of other digital-related prizes were also donated by our peers at Chapter eight, Mezzo films, Numiko, Simple Usability and Urban DNA.
Nigel Hunter, MD at fuse8, said “There was a lot of anticipation leading up to the evening and I was delighted to see how well all those who attended pushed aside rivalry to make sure the evening was a huge success.
“Myself and the team met loads of new and interesting people, all with really diverse skills and thought-provoking offers. It just shows how much the digital revolution is taking off in Leeds and it was great to be part of an evening that celebrated it.”
Leeds Digital Week continues until the 31st October, culminating in the DADI awards, where the fuse8 SEO team hope to be recognised for the outstanding results they recently achieved following their SEO work on the Supercook website.
