Andy Roberts, Information Architect
1. What attracted you to your current position?
I was looking for a new challenge after years of working within the corporate environment. When the information architect role at fuse8 came up I knew it was right for me as it offered me the chance to develop my existing skills, whilst also taking my career in a new direction.
2. What is the most enjoyable part of your job?
Working on a variety of projects and having the chance to influence the overall solution – hopefully for the better!
3. And the least enjoyable?
Paperwork - especially timesheets.
4. What’s the most irritating industry buzzword?
Not a buzzword but the endless acronyms - PPC / CPC / CTR / EPC / CMS / PSD - the list goes on.
5. If you could give your 18-year old self one piece of advice what would it be?
Make the most of the opportunities you are given and take chances before you have the commitments of family.
6. Describe yourself in three words.
Conscientious, reliable and quiet :)
7. What was your worst ever job?
I spent two weeks working in a small design agency – which will remain nameless - with a boss who constantly looked over my shoulder!
8. Dead or alive, who would you most like to meet?
Gordon Ramsay
9. What one question would you ask this person?
How does he balance work and family life? Oh, and how do you make really good mashed potatoes?
10. If you weren’t doing this job, what would you be?
Something outdoors - a sheep farmer perhaps.
