We’re delighted to say that we have appointed the former chief executive of publically quoted marketing services company Media Square as a non-executive director.
Jeremy Middleton, 48, will work with our management team to achieve the business’s objective of becoming one of the UK’s leading digital full service agencies. Whilst he was at Media Square the company had a turnover in excess of £200m, 1,700 employees and 2,500 clients with operations spanning Europe, the Far East, Africa and America.
Commenting on his appointment, Jeremy said: “fuse8 is a new and exciting breed of marketing business that combines the successful application of leading edge technologies with a deep understanding of traditional marketing disciplines to create powerful, results-driven campaigns.
“The agency’s management team have a clear vision and its people possess a great deal of intelligence, dedication and ability. My role is to assist the business in achieving its stated objective by advising on growth plans as well as streamlining processes in order to ensure that fuse8 maintains its significant competitive advantage.”
Jeremy lives in Buxton, Derbyshire, and London and has worked in the marketing communications industry since he helped establish Buxton-based Osborne PR in the 1980s. He then started working with local partners to build a network of small regional agencies called Equanim, which was subsequently acquired by Media Square in 2002.
fuse8's managing director said: “We are extremely pleased to have secured Jeremy as our non-executive director. He has an excellent understanding of our industry and has a proven track record in developing marketing services businesses through organic growth and acquisition.
“His entrepreneurial flair and commercial acumen will play an integral role in enabling us to achieve our objective of becoming one of the UK’s leading digital full service agencies in the short to medium term.”
