It's three golds!

Cream Awards 2009

fuse8 was nominated in multiple categories in this year's Cream design and advertising awards, with designers Matt McMillan, Will Buckman and Joe Mason at the awards ceremony tonight to receive this year's accolades - three gold awards.

Deputy creative director Matt picked up the top award in the low budget category for his provocative work for Greyhound Action and was so delighted all we could get out of him was 'whoop'. Interestingly, in the same category we also won gold for new client Metroshred, a York-based confidential document shredding business.

Our final gold award was won in the outdoor advertising category, where our work for the Safer Leeds' campaign highlighting the long term impact of domestic violence really stood out.

We also received a commendation for our Safer Leeds domestic violence helpline radio ad campaign.

Managing director Nigel Hunter proved more vocal on the team's success. He said: "I'm incredibly proud to be part of fuse8. Winning awards is awesome but, for me, the prize is seeing the work evolve and come to life. I saw each brief as it came into fuse8, but I never could claim to have the vision that our designers, art directors and copywriters have - until of course I see their work.

"I'm always impressed by how much the team care, regardless of the budget. Each client matters. Each brief is a challenge that we embrace. Each award is recognition not only of the team's great creative skill, but also the client's ability to trust fuse8's creative prowess. Thank you team, thank you clients. Oh, and you will have to forgive me if I feel a little bit smug. Not because I earned it, but because I'm part of it"
